Personal data (usually referred to just as "data" below) will only be processed by us to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its contents, and the services offered there.

The following privacy policy is intended to inform you in particular about the type, scope, purpose, duration, and legal basis for the processing of such data either under our own control or in conjunction with others. We also inform you below about the third-party components we use to optimize our website and improve the user experience which may result in said third parties also processing data they collect and control.

II. The rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing to be described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right

  • to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, information about the data being processed, further information about the nature of the data processing, and copies of the data (cf. also Art. 15 GDPR);
  • to correct or complete incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Art. 16 GDPR);
  • to the immediate deletion of data concerning them (cf. also Art. 17 DSGVO), or, alternatively, if further processing is necessary as stipulated in Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, to restrict said processing per Art. 18 GDPR;
  • to receive copies of the data concerning them and/or provided by them and to have the same transmitted to other providers/controllers (cf. also Art. 20 GDPR);
  • to file complaints with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the controller in breach of data protection provisions (see also Art. 77 GDPR).

In addition, the controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom it discloses data of any such corrections, deletions, or restrictions placed on processing the same per Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Nevertheless, users have a right to information about these recipients.

Likewise, under Art. 21 GDPR, users and data subjects have the right to object to the controller's future processing of their data pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct advertising is permissible.

III. Information about the data processing

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.

Cookies

a) Session cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies stored on your computer by your browser. These cookies process certain specific information about you, such as your browser, location data, or IP address.  

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure, allowing us, for example, to display our website in different languages or to offer a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for such processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies are used to collect data to initiate or process contractual relationships.

If the processing does not serve to initiate or process a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

If you contact us via email or the contact form, the data you provide will be used for the purpose of processing your request. We must have this data in order to process and answer your inquiry; otherwise we will not be able to answer it in full or at all.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Your data will be deleted once we have fully answered your inquiry and there is no further legal obligation to store your data, such as if an order or contract resulted therefrom.

Webflow

We host our website on Webflow. The provider is Webflow, Inc., 398 11th Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA (hereinafter: Webflow). When you visit our website, Webflow collects various log files including your IP addresses.

Webflow is a tool for building and hosting websites. Webflow stores cookies or other recognition technologies that are necessary to display the page, to provide certain website functions and to ensure security (necessary cookies).

The use of Webflow is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring that our website is presented as reliably as possible. MailerLite 

This website uses MailerLite to send newsletters. The provider is UAB “MailerLite”, J. Basanaviciaus 15, LT-03108 Vilnius, Lithuania (hereinafter MailerLite).

MailerLite is a service that, among other things, can be used to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored on MailerLite's servers.

If you do not want MailerLite to analyze you, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message.

1.) Date analysis by mailerlite

With the help of MailerLite we are able to analyze our newsletter campaigns. So we can e.g. For example, you can see whether a newsletter message was opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked on particularly often.

We can also see whether certain previously defined actions were carried out after opening/clicking (conversion rate). We can, for example, B. recognize whether you made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.

2.) Legal basis

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time in the future.

3.) Storage period

The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or if the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

After you have been unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interests.

Instagram

To advertise our products and services as well as to communicate with interested parties or customers, we have a presence on the Instagram platform.

The legal basis for the processing of the resulting and subsequently disclosed personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, communication, sales, and promotion of our products and services.

The legal basis may also be your consent per Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR granted to the platform operator. Per Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR, you may revoke this consent with the platform operator at any time with future effect.

When accessing our online presence on the Instagram platform, Facebook Ireland Ltd. as the operator of the platform in the EU will process your data (e.g. personal information, IP address, etc.).

This data of the user is used for statistical information on the use of our company presence on Instagram. Facebook Ireland Ltd. uses this data for market research and advertising purposes as well as for the creation of user profiles. Based on these profiles, Facebook Ireland Ltd. can provide advertising both within and outside of Instagram based on your interests. If you are logged into Instagram at the time you access our site, Facebook Ireland Ltd. will also link this data to your user account.

If you contact us via Instagram, the personal data your provide at that time will be used to process the request. We will delete this data once we have completely responded to your query, unless there are legal obligations to retain the data, such as for subsequent fulfillment of contracts.

Facebook Ireland Ltd. might also set cookies when processing your data.

If you do not agree to this processing, you have the option of preventing the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. The instructions to do this depend on the browser and system being used. For Flash cookies, the processing cannot be prevented by the settings in your browser, but instead by making the appropriate settings in your Flash player. Facebook

Our website measures conversions using visitor action pixels from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).

These allow the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they click on a Facebook ad to reach the provider’s website. This allows an analysis of the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes and their future optimization.

The data collected is anonymous to us as operators of this website and we cannot use it to draw any conclusions about our users’ identities. However, the data are stored and processed by Facebook, which may make a connection to your Facebook profile and which may use the data for its own advertising purposes, as stipulated in the Facebook privacy policy. This will allow Facebook to display ads both on Facebook and on third-party sites. We have no control over how this data is used. Facebook Data Use Policy can use. As a result, Facebook can enable ads to be displayed on Facebook and outside of Facebook. This use of data can not be influenced by us as the site operator.

The use of Facebook pixels is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising including social media.

YouTube

As your Google account may be in use for various different Google services (e.g., Gmail, Google Search), YouTube or Google, respectively, may combine your personal data relating to each Google service you use depending on the settings of your Google account.

We use YouTube Analytics. As part of this function, we receive anonymous and aggregated information from Google about the users' interactions with our content provided on YouTube and the use of our YouTube channel.

YouTube Analytics allows us to anonymously evaluate the audience and popularity of our YouTube videos among subscribers and non-subscribers of our YouTube channel based on views and playback times of individual YouTube videos. In addition, we can analyse community posts and audience engagement based on "like" and "dislike" ratings and click rates. YouTube Analytics also enables us an evaluation according to target groups (e.g., by age and gender, regions and languages) and to compare these evaluations with data and online activities outside of our own YouTube channels.

This information allows us to analyse and optimise the effectiveness of our YouTube activities. The processing that takes place in this respect is based on our legitimate interests in optimising our YouTube activities, Art 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

Pinterest 

Our website uses conversion tracking technology from the Pinterest social network (Pinterest Europe Ltd., Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland), which enables us to offer our website visitors who have already registered for our website and our content /offers and are Pinterest members to display advertisements and offers relevant to them on Pinterest. For this purpose, a so-called conversion tracking pixel from Pinterest is integrated on our pages, via which Pinterest is informed when you visit our website that you have accessed our website and which parts of our offer you are interested in. For example, if you were interested in our subscriptions on our website, you may see an ad about our subscriptions on Pinterest.

You can opt out of collecting data to display interest-based advertising on Pinterest at any time in your Pinterest account settings there under “Individual adjustment” deactivate the button “Use information from our partners to better tailor the recommendations and ads on Pinterest to you”) or under the Personalization and Data area (there uncheck the box under “Disable customization”).

TikTok

We use the TikTok Pixel on our website. The TikTok Pixel is a TikTok advertiser tool from the two providers

  • TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland, and
  • TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited, WeWork, 125 Kingsway, London, WC2B 6NH, United Kingdom (both hereinafter collectively referred to as “TikTok”).

The TikTok Pixel is a snippet of JavaScript code that allows us to understand and track visitor activity on our website. The TikTok Pixel collects and processes information about the creators of our website or the devices they use (so-called event data).

The event data collected via the TikTok Pixel is used to target our ads and to improve ad delivery and personalized advertising. For this purpose, the event data collected on our website using the TikTok pixel is transmitted to Facebook TikTok.

Some of this event data is information that is stored in the device you are using. In addition, cookies are also used via the TikTok Pixel, via which information is stored on the device you are using. Such storage of information by the TikTok pixel or access to information that is already stored in your end device only takes place with your consent. The legal basis for the collection and transmission of personal data by us to TikTok is therefore Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time via our consent management tool.

This collection and transmission of the event data is carried out by us and TikTok as joint controllers. We have entered into a processing agreement with TikTok as joint controllers, which sets out the distribution of data protection obligations between us and TikTok. In this Agreement, we and TikTok have agreed, among other things,

  • that we are responsible for providing you with all information pursuant to Art. 13, 14 GDPR on the joint processing of personal data;
  • that TikTok is responsible for enabling the rights of data subjects in accordance with Art. 15 to 20 GDPR with regard to the personal data stored by Facebook Ireland after joint processing.

We use Page Insights. For this purpose, LinkedIn Ireland processes in particular data that you have provided to LinkedIn Ireland via the information in your profile. This includes, for example, information on job functions, country, industry, professional seniority, company size and employment status. In addition, LinkedIn Ireland will process information about whether you are a follower of our LinkedIn company page. We can filter this information according to the above demographic criteria.

In addition, we and LinkedIn Ireland are joint controllers for the Page Insights data, which are generated whenever you visit our LinkedIn page. In this addendum, LinkedIn Ireland agrees to assume primary responsibility under the GDPR for the processing of Page Insights data and to comply with all applicable obligations under the GDPR with respect to its processing of Page Insights data.

This processing serves the legitimate interests we have in optimizing and curating our LinkedIn page to align with our users‘ needs, Art 6 (1)(f) GDPR.

X (former “Twitter International Company”) 

X is operated by the X International Company, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, D02 AX07 Ireland (“X International”).

For these analyses, we can make use of certain settings or corresponding filters, selecting specific time periods or posts for our analysis as well as for the evaluation of specific characteristics, e.g., the locations and interests of our followers. These analyses allow us to evaluate and optimise the effectiveness of our X activities. This is also our legitimate interest, Art 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
